Zanzibar is serviced by a large assortment of transport choices. These include:

FLIGHTS:
Scheduled, Daily Flights: provide reliable, daily flights from across Tanzania. These operators tend to utilise aircraft with a seating capacity ranging between 4 to 24 clients and above. The aircraft utilised are specifically designed for African conditions, involving bush airstrips and ‘quick turnaround’ schedules visiting a range of parks and cities within Tanzania’s borders. These flights are particularly popular and we advise that you ask us to ‘pre-book’ all your internal flight arrangements for you whilst you are visiting Zanzibar and mainland Tanzania to avoid disappointment.

Privately Chartered flights: provide convenient flights according to your specific schedule and plans whilst holidaying or attending to business in and across Tanzania. Accordingly, these flights can be very expensive and are not as cost effective as Scheduled, Daily flight. Chartered Flights do however give you control of your specific schedule, choice of aircraft and space on board for your accompanying passengers to enjoy the flight privately or participate in a ‘sky meeting’ between business meetings & designations. Aircraft’s available include small jet aircraft and those fitted with tables and chairs. You are advised to booked these special flights in advance, although there are several chartered airlines that may be able to accommodate you on short notice.

International Flights: are available directly from designated European Destinations. These scheduled flights are divided into two main categories consisting of Chartered and Scheduled Commercial. Chartered flights are managed and utilised by specific Tour Operators bringing in their package tour clients passengers, whilst the latter are commercial, international airlines running scheduled flights. These also include flights from neighbouring Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda as well as scheduled flights from Kilimanjaro International Airport in Arusha (Tanzania’s hub for Northern Circuit Safaris).
ALL THESE AIRLINE CATEGORIES SUPPLY RELIABLE AND PROFESSIONAL FLIGHT SERVICES, MEETING ALL AVIATION SAFETY REGULATIONS. DUE TO THE INCREASING NUMBER OF AIRLINES AVAILABLE (WITH CHANGING SCHEDULES), WE KINDLY REQUEST YOU TO CONTACT US FOR THE LATEST AVAILABILITY & SERVICES.

SEA CROSSINGS:
Ferry Services: Both Zanzibar & Mainland Tanzania offer excellent Ferry Services, using the latest sophisticated vessels. Ferrying is considered the most convenient way to travel to Zanzibar for those traveling on a budget, who still wish to go or return to Zanzibar relatively quickly.

Ferry Boats: are also available to those who want a more leisurely experience, traveling across the Indian Ocean from Zanzibar Island to Tanzania’s mainland (or visa versa).

Traditional Dhows: offer a unique experience crossing the channel between Zanzibar & Mainland Tanzania – HOWEVER it is essential you use extreme caution in choosing such a vessel and that any thought of sailing by dhow should be discussed and booked or recommended by your chosen & preferred Travel Agent.
