The ground handler, Abdul of Madeira Tours was absolutely amazing. Nick needed medical treatment whilst he was there so Dena rang Abdul to ask for his help. He got us into the military hospital and stayed during Nicks operation. He cancelled all our excursions pre-booked and gave us a full refund whilst arranging gentler more suitable options were given. We had a half-day tour here (arranged through Madeira Tours in Stone Town - very knowledgeable and great value for money) and it was one of the best experiences we had in the whole of Tanzania. My 2 year old son loved feeding the giant tortoises. The island itself is very beautiful, but the beach is beyond par. It was the best beach we went on in Zanzibar, lovely warm sea, crystal clear waters, white sands. Do not miss a chance to come.
